Willie Miklus To Join Iowa State As Graduate Assistant
After spending his final season as a cyclone, four-time All-American Willie Miklus will be joining Iowa State as a graduate assistant to the wrestling team. Head coach Kevin Dresser just finished his second year at the head of the team, and continues to add great talent as he rebuilds a historically powerful program. Miklus spent his first three seasons at the University of Missouri before transferring the Iowa State to be closer to his sick father.
Willie Miklus added a significant amount of maturity and stability to a very young Cyclones squad, contributing as a leader and a point scorer for the team. This move to graduate assistant will also let him continue to train freestyle for a run at senior level accomplishment. His final season at Iowa State saw him place sixth in the nation, and record his 100th win and 50th dual win of his career.
